OK as a reserve but total mud bath and road into reserve quite long and shocking partly due to its entry for farm vehicles

Lovely place to watch birds. Scope needed because birds are often distant, but there's always something to see.

Fantastic quiet spot for watching wildlife, especially birds. Free and well worth a visit. Bring binoculars and/or telescope.

Lovely reserve along the estuary. Quite remote and no public facilities. Saw a barn owl and a few ducks. Quite muddy when we visited but a nice place to visit and watch the birds. Free to enter. Downside is the poorly maintained road to the reserve which is full of pot holes which is why it has 4 stars. Not suitable for wheelchairs.
Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed on leads

There's nothing of humans here. No traffic noise. No street food or ice cream vans. Just the wind and the squarks of birds in the distance and my god it makes more sense that the cacophony of noise around us every day. If you want to get away from society for a bit but can't afford a retreat, come here. The view is just marshland, that's it. But you'll find sanctuary from the noise of every day life. And it's free (donations welcome)

Potholed lane leads to recently improved quite well surfaced free carpark. Well maintained paths lead to viewing areas. Lots of birds to see on the marsh plus on the day I was there, a kestrel spent quite a long time hovering and hunting. Very easy to photograph.
