My Dad lived at SVL for over 2 years and was always well cared for. He was quite a character with his own quirky ways but the staff all accommodated him and his requests as best they could. He loved having a bath in the jacuzzi bubble bath and loved his chats with the staff. He was famous for his “Pandoras box” of chocolate treats and no- one left his room without something! The staff at SVL became friends and showed a lot of care and respect to Dad and also to us as a family. Sadly Dad passed away in July 2023 but we as a family cannot thank everyone enough at SVL for the love they showed Dad in his final few years. I can only give positive comments to anyone thinking of a safe environment for their loved one .The whole experience of having to place Dad into care, which is a hard decision for any family to make ,was made easier with the care shown by everyone at SVL. A truly remarkable place……Thank you to you all!

My mother (93) has been at SVL for 3 years. Since moving in she is now happy and smiling, joins in many of the activities and is even walking (with a frame). Her life and wellbeing have been transformed and this is all down to the wonderful care and attention she has received from the staff. They so much to keep residents as active as possible and entertained. Visitors are made very welcome and during the lockdown even though visiting wasn’t possible, we had no concerns about her wellbeing and safety. The team keep relatives very well informed about all aspects of life at SVL and I couldn’t praise and thank them enough.

I have a family member at Southview. The staff are friendly the building is old but well maintained and clean. It sits at the bottom end of the price scale so is more affordable for those that self fund. Set in a rural village location with a small store opposite. A frequent bus service stops outside on the Southport Preston bus route.

The care attention given to my husband was second to none. He was always kept clean and tidy. The carers stopped to chat and comfort him whenever an opportunity arose and were always welcoming to friends and family. There is now a range of activities organised in the afternoons which offers something for everyone. The home is clean and fresh. Certainly I would recommend it to anyone needing a safe secure and caring place for their loved ones
